Biography
Haohua Tu received the BS degree during the year 1992 in Engineering from TsingHua University, Beijing, China, and the PhD degree during the year 2001 in Engineering from the University of Kentucky, Lexington. From 2001 to 2005, he was a Postdoctoral Scientist at University of North Carolina, and at University of California-Merced. Since 2005, he has been a Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Biophotonics Imaging Laboratory, Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana. He has 54 peer-reviewed publications, 41 conference proceedings, and multiple patents in the fields of biomedical optical imaging, photonics device development, optical physics, and chemical engineering.
